Please consider a small donation.
Thank you!

Works beautifully in Vista 32 bit DW CS5
Thanks so much
On Windows XP you may need to go into:
C:Documents and Settings*USERNAME*Application DataAdobeDreamweaver CS4en_USConfigurationCodeColoring
Instead of: C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Dreamweaver CS4configurationCodeColoring
If you are using CS5 on a Mac and have snow leopard, you want to replace the Colors.xml file located in:
/Users/”Your Computer’s Name”/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS5/en_US/Configuration/CodeColoring/
Does not work on Windows 7 for CS 5.5 …..even if i delete all colors.xml files and leave no file it still get original fonts and i do not know how to solve the problem
It neither did not work for me.
Works like a charm here. Win7 CS5.5
Thanks dude. Works wonderfully in CS5 on Windows 7 64 bit.
Great work, I had to do a few modifications for things like royal blue color, but other than that it was good!
Thanks
Isn’t this supposed to have ASP? It doesn’t work for me. I followed the instructions above! I also tested the following and they aren’t working either: JSP, Actionscript, WML, Java… I don’t really use all of those. Mostly just PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript and ASP… but I just thought I’d let you know. I’ve tried in both CS3 & CS5.
same problem…cant style asp pages and i cant read anything…tried to find and replace hex codes in the xml and still nothing…i fixed this a long time ago, but dont remember what i did…any ideas?
Really like this theme.
However, I’m now using TextMate, has anyone ported it across to that?
Thank you for the detailed installation instructions!
The colours were a bit too bright for me, so I created another theme based on the ‘minimal Theme’ for TextMate: https://gist.github.com/998843

Obrigado!
Sweet! Been looking for something like this for awhile.
Works great on Dreamweaver CS5.5 on Mac
Can you post how exactly you did it? I can’t get it to work…
Works in Dreamweaver CS5.5 on Mac OSX Lion (I had to set the default background color to black after installing though)
(I obviously missed step #5)
Would you mind telling me how you fixed this in Lion? It worked fine for me in 10.6 but I can’t get it to work in 10.7.
Thanks!
I also can’t get this to work in 10.7, using DW CS5.5
I had the same issue – turns out it was because OSX Lion auto hides the correct users/library folder. Found this link “http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/04/show-library-directory-in-mac-os-x-lion/” to show how to un-hide the folder using terminal and the followed the steps above.
Hope it helps!
Thank you ! Works great on DW CS 4 on Mac OS10.6.8
Only one problem spotted : htacces files are still written in black. Black on black is a bit difficult to read
Great job though !
If I could I would donate Tom.
I just replaced the xml in CS5 and it´s an eye saver man..
God bless man.. god bless..

Beautiful colour scheme. So easy and pleasing on the eye. Perfect for those with sensitivity to bright white. I can work longer now because the colours aren’t straining but its also so pleasant. Thanks so much!
Great extension, saves me the trouble of doing this manually. I can finally read without having to squint!
Just type %appdata% on Run and you’ll find your way
Thank you Tom! After much eye strain from staring at the white background of Dreamweaver while learning PHP and Javascript, I did a search for dark background Dreamweaver and your site came up. I followed your simple instructions and am VERY happy with the results. Thank you for sharing your hard work!!
Excellent work! Many thanks! The dark colors make my code so much easier to read. I also had no problems getting it to work with Windows 7 64-bit and Dreamweaver CS5.5.
Can someone please tell me how to get it to work for Win 7 64 bit CS5.5? This is the only path I find the colors file in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5\configuration\CodeColoring
and it still doesn’t work replacing it. Per the Win 7 instructions above I don’t have that path unless its hidden folders?
Maybe this is helpfull for those that didn’t get it working in CS5.5 I had the same problem; it didn’t work after I followed instructions.
In my CS5 folder there was a file called Colors.xml AND a file called CodeColoring.xml After I replaced them BOTH with the file you can download here it worked….
